Primary Responsibility
• Create innovative concepts in line with the brand and the current category plan• Manage the tracking of new competitive innovations both mass and prestige• Collaborate with cross functional teams (development, creative, sales, marketing, operations, and regulatory) for product launch strategies and execution• Evaluate competitiors’activity as well as market and category performance to identify opportunities to improve category performance• Have a keen awareness of trends consumer feedback and competitor activity in order to recommend design, formula, and provide research to help facilitate product innovation • Participate in the identification of needs for new products; approving all materials developed in support of programs; reviewing, editing, and approving all copy; ensuring legal requirements are met for product names and product claims• Attend industry conferences and lectures to keep informed of new product packaging directions and trends• Co-Develop creative briefs to drive event creation and gloal product launches working with our internal creative studio
Qualification
Qualification
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in product development in the cosmetics/beauty industry• Have a passion working at beauty industry• Highly entrenched in the social media world with the ability to pitch social unique concepts from product perspective• Strong verbal/written communication skills are essential• Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate and develop relationship between all levels of management• Proficiency in outlook, Excel, Word & Power Point is required• Highly organized and calendar driven with ability to handle many competing priorities• Attention to details and sense of urgency
