Support the HR function for one of SCG Company, 100 employees and perform the role of an HR Generalist in support of the facility's business goals. Additionally, administer the union contract. Sponsor, develop and manage programs and policies to insure positive employee/management relations to serve operational objectives. Manage the budget for the Human Resources operation and provide overall direction and guidance to assigned staff including direct supervision, training and development. Administer the contract, and participate in arbitrations, and contract negotiations.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- A solid foundation in the fundamentals of Human Resource functions including employee relations, affirmative action, recruiting and employment, wage & salary administration, benefit administration.
- Labor Relations: Active, lead role in planning and participation in contract negotiations, grievances, monthly meetings with union committees and other day to day items to cultivate and maintain good employee relations in a union plant.
- Supervisor Training: Create, deliver, and record training. Facilitate and document monthly meetings
