Primary Responsibility
Resort Operations Manager is responsible to oversee day-to-day operations. Duties include adhering to company structure of and communicating to department heads (Front Desk, F&B, Grounds & Maintenance, Logistics); supervising the work staff and interacting with guests to ensure satisfaction.
Resort operations managers oversee the entire operations of 15 room boutique style scuba diving resort. Operations include human resources, housekeeping, security, public relations and food service. It is the resort operations manager's job to deal effectively with customers, bosses and staff workers while keeping the resort running smoothly. Resort operations manager may have assistants or assign department heads to help manage the hotel. Creating a work schedule, hiring new employees, and training staff are all duties a hotel operations manager should be able to perform.

Qualification
The ideal education for a resort operations manager is a bachelor's degree in hotel, business or hospitality management. However, a general degree is acceptable if candidate has resort operations experience. Strong communication skills are also essential in meeting the needs of the customers and making sure their stay is a satisfactory one. Candidates who already know scuba divingwill have a preferred status in selection.
