And we continuously strive to be the preferred place for environmental and other professionals to build meaningful and rewarding careers CSM PRACTICE BRIEFERM helps clients safely develop sustainable solutions to their contaminated land management challenges We strive to develop risk based remediation strategies to protect human health and ecology, satisfy our clients business goals and regulatory obligations, control costs and manage stakeholder expectations Our global services include decommissioning, demolition, remediation and redevelopment strategies to help capture value from discontinued operations across the globeOur skill sets combine site investigation, risk assessment, remediation technology, financial, project and contract management, regulatory negotiations and field servicesSome of our key contaminated site management services include: • Field investigations• Human health and ecological risk assessments• Conceptual and numeric fate & transport modelling• Remediation portfolio & reserve assessments• Sustainable solutions, including “green” remediation• Remedial options appraisal• Decommissioning, decontamination and demolition (DDD) services• Sediment management and remediation• Remediation• Remediation engineering & construction management RESPONSIBILITIES : The scope of responsibilities will include the entire project lifecycle from investigation through remedial design and implementation The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team of soil scientists, geologists, hydrogeologists, civil, chemical, and environmental engineers to develop and implement innovative technical solutions for the projects, with a focus on the remedial actions, including design, procurement, construction, start up, optimization and troubleshooting of remediation systems to progress the sites towards regulatory closure The successful candidate will also work with a multidisciplinary team to analyse remediation equipment incidents and develop best practices to reduce remediation risks• Serve as a technical lead on various types of remediation projects• Manage soil and ground water investigation, remediation, and site closure projects for CSM• Prepare project proposals and successfully complete the awarded project in accordance with the proposal schedule and budget• Develop new business opportunities with Oil and Gas, Chemical/Agrochemical, Mining, Mining, Power and other commercial clients• Administer and conduct activities for remediation projects including preparation of subcontractor procurements, specifications and bidding documents• Provide technical support to or project management of on-going and new projects• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of technical work as part of a major project or in a total project of complex scope• Assess and evaluate soil, coal combustion residues, sediment, groundwater and surface water conditions• Select, design, install, test, and evaluate remediation systems• Prepare technical reports and documents• Conduct verification sampling to assess the progress of site clean-ups• Give presentations to clients, regulators, and the public• Manage client relationships• In conjunction with the project team, coordinating and directing resources to facilitate project delivery;• Build internal networks to ensure optimum project results; and• Seek cross-selling and follow-on sales opportunities with the clients• Work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment to build ERM’s global business• Willing to travel to client offices and projects sites within the Indonesian archipelago• Other duties may be assigned

Qualification
• At least 15 years’ relevant working experience on environmental consulting engagement• Ideally, 10 years working experience in remediation• BS/MS in engineering (environmental, chemical, civil) environmental science, geology or related degree PhD is an advantage• Professional registration (PE, PG, etc) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are desirable• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects• Experience working in Indonesia, particularly on Oil and Gas, Chemical/Agrochemical, Mining, Mining, Power and other commercial sectors• Current professional relationships within the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry are an advantage• Client relationship building skills• Excellent planning and organizational skills• Strong written and verbal communication skills• High level of energy and self-motivation• Can demonstrate ability to consistently meet both routine and challenging obligations/deliverables
