Company Introduction
GrabTaxi is an automated smartphone based booking and dispatch platform for the taxi industry in the Indonesia. We aim to introduce simple, cost effective mobile-based technology to both the taxi company and passenger sides of the distribution chain. We believe our solution will also bring significant improvements to Indonesia’s national productivity through improved taxi allocations, and thus public transportation efficiencies
Primary Responsibility
• Develop and execute sales strategy
1. Work with the Vertical Heads / Country Heads to set overall sales strategy and report progress on a regular basis
2. Recommend segments, car types to be targeted for GC Sales
3. Provide overall direction for the GC Sales functions
4. Direct and co-ordinate the activities of the GC Sales department and interfaces with other departments
• Ensure efficiency of sales operations
1. Identify and improve on process and procedure inefficiencies within sales operations
2. Ensure that sales staff are clear on their responsibilities and apply the most recent processes and procedures
3. Review reports, ensuring accuracy of content, and taking corrective actions if necessary
4. Monitor service level agreements with fleets and report exceptions
5. Ensure adequate attitude and appearance of sales employees
6. Ensure adequate appearance of the sales sites (cleanliness, organization)
7. Ensure availability and appropriate display of brochures, posters, forms, publications and other documentation
8. Monitoring sales staff attendance in accordance with work schedule
9. Develop and manage tools to track sales operations
• Manage key relationships
1. Nurture relationships with key external stakeholders e.g. PPRI, rental fleet partners
2. Negotiate with key external stakeholders for an outcome that benefits both parties
3. Follow up with other Grab functions to resolve significant requests and complaints in a timely manner and delegate to function heads as necessary
• Manage and motivate the sales team to achieve targets
1. Oversee top-down sales targets by segment and oversee tracking and measuring of sales performance (by segment)
2. Manage the team towards achieving sales targets (by product segment), allocate sales targets to sales staff, and organize sales teams to achieve the targets
3. Track progress of sales against plan, and provide support and coaching to salesstaff as required (including resolving issues)
• Grow team and develop capabilities of team
1. Hire resources for salesfunctions
2. Oversee career development of salesfunction heads (P2P and B2B)
3. Hold regular meetings with function heads + staff to monitor progress, address issues, and plan department activities
4. Conduct regular staff performance appraisals in line with guidelines
Qualification
Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesian
• Good in written and spoken English
• At least 7 years’ experience in a Sales Management position with a proven track record
• Decent proficiency in MS Office
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in General Management, Management Consulting, Marketing, or Business Development
• Excellent leadership, management, problem-solving, negotiations, interpersonal, and communications skills
• Deep understanding of a winning team’s DNA; track-record of building well-rounded teams
• Go-getter and motivated leader who is able to get things done. One who is willing to both lead at high level and be hands-on as needed and proactively assume responsibilities and ownership
• Ability to work independently and deal effectively with complex, changing, and ambiguous environments
• Able to initiate and maintain strong relationships with relevant industry partners, suppliers and contractors
• Passionate about the social mission and making a positive impact in emerging markets
