Primary Responsibility
Used as a resource for all civil matters, particularly those concerning rail track and associated systems including to research information and solutions for issues beyond its specific experience.
Applying technical principles concerning existing technology for track structure (ballasted and non-ballasted), track components, track support and related systems.
Understanding interfaces between track systems and rolling stock, energy and train control systems.
In compliance with the Company’s technical and safety procedures, contribute to the development of proposals and studies, design infrastructures, plan, organize and act as the company representative to clients on particular mandates. Thus, knowledge of various softwares is essential such as: MS Office suit of programmes, Autodesk Civil CAD and Civil 3D. Prepare engineering documents, such as drawings and specifications, quantities and costs estimates, work program, visit report, feasibility study and various studies.
Communicate effectively on matters concerning track engineering and related interfaces in writing and in person to ensure that decisions can be reached and issues can be resolved by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Deliver track engineering expertise in forms including text, data, calculation and guidance, to ensure that timescales agreed with internal and external stakeholders are met.
Interfaces related to track engineering include: Gauge clearance; Platform – train interface and stepping distanct; Track geometry (layout) requirements; Track geometry (in-service) requirements.
Undertake Rail Safety and Health & Safety duties including ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for the project team members and fulfilling all responsibilities for health and safety in design.
Monitors project work procedures to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; evaluates proposed changes to approved plans and specifications.
Provide project management advice on all construction, including testing and commissioning, and site supervision

Qualification
Proficient English language skills.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Staff (non-management & non-supervisor)s specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
