Primary Responsibility
Position Overview:
Second in command, As a sous chef one must be familiar with all of the daily operations of the kitchen, and must be able top perform any task in the kitchen if needed.Strong leadership & communication abilities are a must.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning & directing food preparation in the kitchen
Effectively disciplining staff members to go above & beyond
Reports directly to the Kitchen Manager
Enforces food safety standards
Training & scheduling
Quality control including ensuring the food storage units meet standards and are consistently well-managed
Expediting
Purchasing
Leads kitchen team in KMs absence
Qualification
Qualification
Leadership skills
Minimum 5 years experience
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Hand eye coordination
English speaking
Time management skills
