If what you looking for is work life balance, then this is perhaps a very good place for you (yes working mom, this will be a very suitable environment for you). What you need is become a bus member, then it is guaranteed that you will work from 7.30 to 16.30 with no overtime (because majority of workers here become a bus member, even senior managers level, so after 16.30 practically the office is almost empty). Of course it also depends on your job desc, some department need you to work overtime from time to time due to deadline, or when you work in shift time basis, but mostly for back office job we work exactly from 7.30 to 16.30.
And don't forget the free ticket. if you love travelling, then working here for 2 to 3 years to enjoy the facilities is not a bad thing at all. Remember that you can use both domestic and international route which also one of the biggest pleasure of working in an airline.

The age gap between the "old generation" with the "young blood" is way too far (most of my co-workers is around my aunt age), which in some ways make it very difficult to blend together in a team. But once again, it is not happen in all department and of course it also depends on each person characteristics.
The facilities and remuneration for employee is also lower that those in another state-owned company (like PLN, Pertamina, or Telkom) so if what you looking for is fortune, I suggest you to looking for another opportunities. But it only happens to back office workers though, while for those working as pilot or cabin crew, you can expect a great remuneration (one of the best, if not the best, among airlines in Indonesia).

Management might think they need to hire lots of young people to prepare for regeneration in the office. But you need to remember that this Y generation not only looking for job, they are looking for long term opportunities which allows them to grow as well as recognition. Tell the good and bad side from the earlier stage will not hurt you at all, in fact it will decrease the level of dissatisfaction later in the future.
